Clay College is a spacious 150 feet long facility that’s equipped with 15 pottery wheels and four kilns. The gallery located at the entrance showcases the work of students as well as local and regional artists. The studio is open every day and is available for students to work outside of class time. Clay College is bustling during classes and Third Fridays, an ongoing celebration in the Millville Arts District. Clay College is an incredible creative environment for experienced clay artists and newcomers alike. Both credit and non-credit students learn the process of pottery and the ceramic arts at Cumberland County College’s Clay College, located at 108 North High Street in the Millville Arts District. Students form distinctive pottery and sculpture by using various hand building techniques including pinch, coil slab and the pottery wheel. Clay College’s credit and continuing education ceramics courses are popular among young and old students who take the courses during the day, in the evening and on weekends.
