You will learn how to create an original fabric piece with the techniques I use to create my art. You will create a design by fusing fabric pieces to a background, which then can be stretched over a canvas, kept flat, or finished as a small quilt. I will also demonstrate how machine stitching and hand embroidery can further embellish the work.

Backing fabric, fusing material, and fabrics from my stash will be provided.

Please bring:

– Fabric Scissors (if you have)

– a 12”x12” Canvas, either .75” or 1.5” deep (if you want to stretch your

work) – an Iron

– an open and adventurous spirit

For your design, feel free to work off a photo, a sketch, or go with your intuition and let the fabric direct you.
