Don’t miss this weeks “Movie Under The Stars,” Disney’s Encanto, on Thursday, August 17. The show will begin at around 8:30 pm in the City Hall parking lot at 6th and Wood Streets. Admission is Free. Moviegoers may bring their own chairs, blankets, cushions, etc. No pets allowed unless they are service dogs.
Encanto, tells the tale of the Madrigals, an extraordinary family living in a magical house in the mountains of Colombia. Each of the family’s members has been blessed with a magical gift, from talking to animals and healing, to super strength, all except for Mirabel. But when Mirabel discovers the magic surrounding their home is in danger, she may be her family’s last hope to save their magical Casita.
The film features all-new songs by Lin-Manuel Miranda (Hamilton, Moana). The voice cast includes Stephanie Beatriz as Mirabel; María Cecilia Botero as Abuela Alma; Wilmer Valderrama as Agustín; Adassa as Dolores; Diane Guerrero Isabela; Mauro Castillo as Félix; Angie Cepeda as Julieta; Jessica Darrow Luisa; Rhenzy Feliz as Camilo; Carolina Gaitan as Pepa; John Leguizamo as Bruno; and Ravi Cabot-Conyers as Antonio.
