This read-aloud coloring book brings to light the story of Mary Treat, a scientist/ecologist of the 19th century who taught children and adults alike how to study and respect nature. Her story, told here in poetry and pictures, will inspire today's preschoolers and elementary-age students in carrying on the adventures of environmental study and discovery, all while coloring the world around them with their own imaginations. Even adults who like to color will enjoy this introduction to Mary Treat, whose contributions to the field of ecology were monumental.
